Google Home Mini Review: it's time to go all-in on Google Assistant

Google Home Mini is the one that will get people hooked..   And, unlike Google Home speakers, there's no way to swap out the color, except at less than fifty bucks it's hard to complain.   Initially, you could also long press in the center to activate Assistant.   I was surprised that, despite its size, Google Home Mini was powerful, and that its mics were able to pick up my voice even when I was far away or music was playing.   There are some tradeoffs, and it does not even come close to the booming $399 Google Home Max.   Like Echo Dot, you do have the option to connect Home Mini to speaker — provided it's Chromecast-enabled.   Google Home Mini is also the vehicle to show off some of Google's biggest strengths.   And, yet, I still find myself drawn to Google Home more than Amazon's counterpart.   Besides the fact that Google Home Mini sounds bit better than Echo Dot, Google manages to make everything feel just bit simpler. .   In the beginning, out that Google's ecosystem still lagged behind Alexa's skillset, 000 skills.   Read more
