Weirdly, neither Elegant Themes own theme nor Divi Builder Plug-in includes totally blank page..
Blank Slate to the rescue it works perfectly.
I'm using third party landing page maker, but couldn't get it to play nice with my wordpress template. got this, boom works great just select the blank slate template..
