Usually I reserve my 5-star ratings for plugins that are perfect, and while this plugin does need few feature enhancements, mostly in improving in styling, it works very well and the developer is VERY responsive and does have plans that include such improvements ..
You can specify how many post titles to display, whether to include the date or not, and some color options and border options..
The widget doesn't have as many options yet but it was very simple to generate the shortcode with all of the I wanted, and paste that into widget.
