This plugin adds widget that you can customize it allows you to display number of blog posts from category.
You have the options to choose title, category, number of posts and whether or not to show the post date or to show the image featured .The posts will be ordered by date just like Recent Posts widget included with WordPress. check the category you want to show...
Upload the directory to the wp-content plugins directory.
Activate the plugin through 'Plugins WordPress.
Navigate to 'Widgets page found under 'Appearance menu item.
Drag ' Recent Posts Widget Plus to the area and choose your options...
