Just activate the plugin and you're best to go..
Upload the whole disable-embeds directory to the wp-content plugins directory..
Activate Disable Embeds from 'Plugins in WordPress....
Still works soon and removes the oembed tags in the Now sites default to the opengraph tags.
Note you will need to clear your oEmbed cache lines in wp postmeta table for old posts or the locate will keep coming back..
It's to see new features added to WordPress. but creating fancy stuff name this with simple checkbox to disable it can't write text link in your wordpress blog how frustrating...
I had gotten used to auto embeds in WordPress name these for Twitter and Youtube but hadn't run across subject where I only wanted to publish directly link.
It was very hard to realize that I will longer do that that I was being able to display the link to web page as integrated excerpt of the page.
