This plugin seems to long be needed I am cleaning it up and maintaining it for these legacy versions of Envira Gallery.. Envira Gallery is gallery plugin however it displays its metabox on every post type on site.
This is required and distracting for you and your users.
This plugin gives you not hard to use settings page that allows you to soon shift the post types that the metabox shows on..
The plugin default to restricting the metabox from all post types only installed.
Note you will have Envira Gallery Lite or full plugin installed for this plugin to do anything...
Upload Envira Tamer to the wp-content plugins directory.
Activate the plugin through the Plugins in WordPress.
Go to Envira->Post Types to see and edit your options...
