If you don't want page champions on any pages go to Genesis > Theme Settings > Title Toggle and recheck the appropriate box.
Once post type has the default set to remove when editing page you can selectively turn on that page's title..
See the page for information on extending the plugin.
When editing page go back to Title Toggle metabox and check. hide. to hide that page's title...

The front page will explain that you will activate the plugin unless Genesis is installed.
