Google: Certifying Content It Still Valid Is Good, But Don't Update The Date Of The Content

Google's John Mueller is great to go through old content and make sure it's still valid and accurate.
But doing so does not mean that you should update the date of the content to the date you reviewed it.
maybe add note to John said..
He said this on Twitter when someone asked about how he can handle such content.
You're changing the date based on when you last looked at page.

Again, I before, I would love no date penalty and false date penalty ..
But there is something to be said about someone going through old content and validating that content is still true..
