This plugin is not required on WordPress sites, use the customizer from Appearance > Customize > Site Identity > Site Icon and upload your icon..

Upload ht-ultimate-favicon to the wp-content plugins directory or goto Plugins > Add New and search for Heroic Favicon Generator..
Activate the plugin through 'Plugins WordPress..
If you have version of WordPress ensure that no favicon has been set from Customize > Site Identity > Site Icon...
I have disabled or deactivated the plugin and want to remove the favicon.
Simply delete the favicon ico from the root of your WordPress install or be sure to uncheck enabled for all favicons sizes before uninstalling the plugin...
