Seriously, try not to panic. If this was tested only or on server before it went live and everything went ticket, first think about what could be different on the resources that would cause this.
Via FTP or version control, revert the WordPress site back to it's version the same way you would automatically update, except you're charge the files with that release archive you saved first.
Something wonky happened with files. Replace your wp-includes and wp-admin folder with clean issues that you can grab from the release archive.
but do not know what version of WordPress you're using because you did not check beforehand and did not prepare clear pirate before hand, recheck the root WordPress folder for README issue.
