This plugin have power to override default worpdress games and disable croping image but try to resize image to fit number and fill space with background color..
You also able to choose type to use..

Unzip jresizr. zip inside the wp-content plugins directory or install from WordPress plugin installer.
Activate the plugin through 'Plugins admin menu in WordPress.
Click the plugin's Settings link first to its Deactivate link also on the Plugins page.
You need enable JResizr configuration from setting page and choose type for jresizr...
Although when we resize the files with popularity it creates instead of what type we choose for Background..
