Just install this plugin and tighten to your needs..
1 Change labels and other arguments passed to register taxonomy function. add filter 'media category args 'my media category args.
2 Hooks inside the books postbox HTML used to edit individual issue information. add filter 'media category html 'my media category html.
The use of these hooks are recommended thus if the plugin gets deactivated these hooks will not be called anymore and then you get them consistent and clean..
