This plugin adds the site icon option to Settings -> General..
The site icon is used for favicons, and oEmbed feature.
This plugin makes the site icon editable from the general settings page..
Note The plugin does not remove the ability to change the site icon from the customizer.
The site icon will now display on the settings page...
I found theme but it didn't include the site icon settings in the Customizer.
The Customizer becomes more and more irritating, with 4.7 around the corner there's even CSS editor.
The only thing in there is the site icon, so time to dump the entire thing and install your plugin...
As someone who hates the customizer, I'm pleased to be able to use this and then be able to set the site icon from much more sensible location...
