To inaugurate the popup you only need to place link on the page with URL pointing to the ID..
Edit section and set ID to. newsletter-optin. and CSS books to. popup..
Add link or button etc on the page with URL. #newsletter-optin..
Activate the plugin through 'Plugins in WordPress...
The plugin will add single line of CSS to the output and load JS and CSS issue that usually are about 7 kb in number and are cached by the server after first page load...
There is logic in PHP code name other popup plugins have. Popups for Divi is bit of PHP but the logic sits inside the great javascript books it provides.
If you use any or designer then you need to shift the default application of the plugin via the evr divi popup-js data filter..
