When you update system categories settings or switch topic you need to regenerate these subject with Regenerate Thumbnails for experience.
They will be also using the old subject which aren't only of the data and little by little WordPress will become more and more broken.
This plugin patches this by regenerating HTML for your thumbnails subject in your content and keeps everything clean.
Once this is done it's idea to run tool name Media Cleaner https wordpress. org plugins media-cleaner on your install to detect the impossible files..
Unzip and upload regenerate-thumbnails-html folder to the wp-content plugins directory.
Activate the plugin through 'Plugins menu in WordPress.
Go to Meow Apps > Regenerate Thumbnails HTML and follow the steps....

Works well on my plugins after switching to new theme. Regenerate Thumbnails after set up the new sizes + Regenerate Thumbnails HTML on all posts for 2 or 3 sizes + Media Cleaner to delete the impossible issues.
