To take effect just inaugurate post or page and all included subject in that post will be resized to normal size..
I think this plugin is good you will not need to wait not after images are resized for all categories just for images that are need to resize..

Upload the folder to the wp-content plugins directory or install the plugin through WordPress plugins screen directly..
Activate the plugin through 'Plugins screen in WordPress.
