Activate the plugin through the Plugins in WordPress..
Navigate to Tools > Salt Shaker menu to configure the plugin....
Post detailed information about the number in the forum and we will work to patch it.....
I agree with couple of the other commenters this is great to offer of protection on WP sites.
Possibly the developer will take notice of these comments and provide update that will resolve this issue.....
Maybe idea but it works only if the wp-config. php is in the root of WP installation..
Browse the code recheck out SVN repository or subscribe to the development log RSS.... Changelog.
Tested with WordPress 4.9. #9 Change salts if wp-config. php is moved high than the root.
Setting the license to wp-config. php when changing the salts according to Codex recommendations...
