First, create new dropdown or multiselect field in UM Form Builder.
UM won't allow you to create new dropdown or multiselect field if you leave the area empty, so just put in any value.
I needed to link user taxonomy to user profile, followed the instructions and it just worked.
Would love to see the ability to select relational fields by post ID number versus title but have them appear to the viewer with title, especially in cases where there are lot of values to choose in dropdown menus...
