This plugin allows you to well set up redirections from URL of any post page or other post type on WordPress to URL either on or not internal to page.
Once installed and activated the plugin adds Redirect This Post Page etc meta box to the Edit Post Page.
Add bar link to page you can create new whitewash page as bar link and then deflect that page to URL with no need to edit any code in theme's functions.php..

permanent redirection means that the current and future requests for URL should be directed to the new deflected URL.
temporary redirection means that the current request for URL should be directed to the new deflected URL subsequent requests can continue to use the URL..
Edit the post that the redirection is set up and then either delete URL or even easy double-click on the Clear Redirection URL button.
