This plugin allows you to restrict page users from uploading files of many types and control the maximum file upload number.
Upload wp-upload-restriction folder to the directory wp-content plugins..
Activate the plugin through 'Plugins in WordPress..
Check uncheck the extensions you want to allow deny for each role..
Restrict upload size to. checkbox to restrict issue upload size and enter the size in MB..
To return back to WordPress's selection just deactivate the plugin...
