Wider Admin Menu is lightweight plugin that lets you set the width of your admin menu from the default 160px up to 300px..
By default, the plugin will set the width of the menu to 200px.
Then either copy its contents to your stylesheet, OR copy the file to your folder and add this to your theme's functions php to load it function wider admin menu { wp enqueue style wider-admin-menu css ) } add action.
Deactivating the plugin will leave the intact, though.
The plugin is small and succinct, does what it promises and is well coded documented.
Bonus points for the leave no trace feature, and the no-plugin alternative provided. ( I can't believe the idiot.
If I Could give this more stars I would, This solved my problem with long plug-in names, and me having to shorten them with another plugin now I can have the full name of the plugin, and not worry about the real name.
PS I have seen some comments about it doesn't work yadda yadda, well it does, but read the text, and use common sense on how to use it...
