Default Category is helpful workflow tool.
Activate the plugin through 'Plugins WordPress...
WordPress already has setting to do this.
By default, WordPress allows global default category.
WordPress Default Category allows multiple categories to be selected based on user or site-wide settings...
Any new post from the user will inherit the categories selected in WordPress Default Category settings page...
It sets default category even for new Pages, which can cause bad issues..
For example, if you have member only area and you block posts in default category, your new added pages will be blocked too..
Plugin Make select box in plugin settings panel so user can choose which post types it will affect, or place message to the description please...
